Standalone Modem
Standalone Modems are meant to be taken out of the box and put into use without the need for advanced engineering or integration. The standalone unit is similar to an external modem and includes an AN1000, AN192 or AN48 main module, an isolation module that couples the main module to the powerline and protects it from electrical spikes and surges, power supply, DIP switches, LED display, and RS-232 interface.

The modems are enclosed in a heavy duty aluminum enclosure and built to withstand harsh industrial and commercial environments. They provide an ideal system solution for applications that require the establishment of a transparent and robust links between two or more points on the same side of a transformer.
